Targeting Tips for Entrepreneurs

Grant Stousland earned his MBA at Concordia University of Mequon, Wisconsin, in 2015. Currently a business management instructor at Madison College, Grant Stousland teaches management techniques and business communication and maintains a high level of interest in entrepreneurship.

When starting out as an entrepreneur, a few tips can lead you to potential success. Defining your market is key and narrowing down your market can increase your chances of success with your new business. For example, if you establish a business that sells a certain product, you will need to ensure you are targeting the correct age group to enhance your results.

To reach out to targeted individuals, social media is a useful tool. However, it's all about how you market your business, as overdoing it can push potential customers away. According to SurePayroll, the most effective times for posting on Facebook are between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., as these result in the most average click-throughs. The least effective times to post on Facebook are on the weekends, before 8 a.m., and after 8 p.m.
